Shaft Wall

Shaft wall systems are non loadbearing partition applicable for use in areas where fire integrity and insulation performance is required, but where assemblies constructed is only possible access from one side of the shaft.

Shaft wall systems should normally be tested or assessed in accordance with BS476: Part 22: 1987 to satisfy the failure criteria of integrity and insulation.
