Material Description
MONALITE® are "technical ceramics" made of calcium silicate in bulk density range
700 to 1000 kg/m³. It is a standard material used in the foundry industry, furnace construction and in many other applications of the process industry.
MONALITE®-M1-A possesses maximum strength and dimensional stability up to 1000°C.
Advantages and Properties

non-wetting and inert to corrosion in direct contact with a number of non-ferrous metals and alloys |

no reaction with lubricants and greases such as graphite or boron nitride |
chemically stable in neutral and basic media |
low thermal conductivity |
high thermal resistance and high mechanical strength |
excellent workability and processability with special tools |
free from asbestos, α-quartz and iron oxide |
Area of Application

Melting and casting facilities for non-ferrous metals: for
transport, distribution and casting in continuous and cyclical shaping processes |

Furnace construction: load-bearing housing, linings in direct metal contact and for structural parts with high thermal and/or mechanical load |

Chemical and process industry: collars, seals, spacer and intermediate rings, bushes, pipe supports and runs |
Melting and Casting Facilities for Non-Ferrous Metals
MONALITE®
has proven itself in a wide variety of melting and casting facilities for
non-ferrous metal alloys Al, Mg, Zn, Sn, Pb.
