The following is the standard architectural specification for suspended ceiling system using PROMATECT®-H.
The designer must determine the suitability of the design to the application and requirements before undertaking or constructing any works
relating to the specifications and where in doubt should obtain the advice of a suitably qualified engineer.

Supporting Structure |

International (Asia Pacific) Ltd. All joints to be coincident with steel framing. Standard board dimensions 1220mm x 2440mm x 9mm. |

Fixing
|

Perimeter galvanised steel angles will be fastened to the wall with M6 metal anchors at 500mm maximum centres.
Steel channels C-50mm x 31mm x 0.6 will be used to form a ceiling grid of 610mm (primary) by 1220mm (secondary).
Ceiling hangers will be suspended at 1220mm centres and fixed to all the 610mm centres primary channels to complete the framework.
The boards 9mm thick, in single/double* layers will fixed to the underside side of the framework with self-tapping screws at 200mm maximum centres,
a minimum of 12mm from the board edge. Board joints must coincide with the steel channels.
Mineral wool, 60mm thick x 80kg/m3 nominal density, as required by the system specification, will be placed over the ceiling.
The complete system along with material and framing is tested and/or assessed
to meet the requirements of BS476: Part 22. |
